The mausoleum, built in 1944 and finally completed in 1953, is spectacular and well worth a visit in honor of the founder of modern Turkey. Surrounded by majestic corridors, the museum can be seen here with portraits of Atatürk, gifts from politicians from various countries, and objects used in Atatürk's life. The mausoleum is high above the city, built of a large amount of marble, which is awe-inspiring. Standing on the hill where Atatürk's tomb lies, you can see the full picture of Ankara.
