So be sure to ask for advice before climbing the mountain. It will be colder to go up the mountain in the morning to watch the sunrise, remember to wear thick clothes.

Kawasan hutan di sekitar puncaknya menjadi kawasan Taman Nasional Gunung Merapi sejak tahun 2004.
