Wivenhoe Dam Review

Great place to spend the weekend on a day trip or bring your camping gear on the campground. Shower and toilets are a small fee. Allow a fire in the right place. Great place to fish, take your canoe, a really pleasant place to stay, and not far from Brisbane.

We stayed at Lumley Hill on a site overlooking the dam. It was school holidays but the camp ground was quiet. Evenings were delightful and the view of the sunset over the dam was stunning. Magpies and other bird life could be a problem, probably a result of people feeding them. Overall a great stay.

The whole place is kept clean, providing a peaceful atmosphere and peaceful scenes for a family or a romantic picnic. There are many other local people coming from Brisbane not far away. It's a great place.
