My overall experience at the Potala Palace View Hotel (Potala Palace Branch) was extremely satisfying. The room directly faces the Potala Palace, offering a panoramic view where both the morning and night scenery have their unique charm. Just sitting by the window, you can quietly enjoy this breathtaking and peaceful sight. The hotel's rooftop restaurant also boasts a great location, allowing you to dine with views of the Potala Palace, creating a wonderful ambiance.
The staff were warm, attentive, and thoughtful. Whether during check-in or dining, any requests were promptly addressed and resolved, making me feel completely at ease. The overall environment is comfortable, and the service is considerate. It's an excellent choice for anyone visiting Lhasa who wants a comfortable stay with convenient access to views. Highly recommended.

## Amenities
The room came with a large humidifier that ran continuously, big enough for all-night use. The oxygen concentrator was quite noisy, but from what I've seen, this seems to be a common issue with similar high-end hotels in the area. We're not particularly sensitive to sleep environments, so we just treated it as white noise and managed to sleep fine. There was a faint mixed smell of smoke and moisture in the room, which I suspect might be related to the humidifier. I'd suggest the hotel further optimize equipment maintenance and ventilation.
## Cleanliness
The overall cleanliness of the room was satisfactory, and the bedding was comfortable. The room had a bathtub, and a nightly soak was great for relieving fatigue from traveling at high altitudes; the hygiene was reassuring. Regarding the rooms, my personal feeling is that apart from the Potala Palace view rooms, all other rooms lack a view. Our room directly faced CITIC Bank. Luckily, we were out and about every day. If I were to spend a long time at the hotel, I'd definitely pay extra to upgrade to a view room. (They told us they upgraded our room type, but I don't think they did; I believe this was the room type I originally booked. My advice to everyone, no matter what room type you book, is to think about it in two ways: either you get a view of the Potala Palace or you don't. If the price difference is only a couple of hundred yuan, there's no real difference in the view for other rooms.)
## Environment
The hotel's public areas are well-designed and have a great atmosphere. The thangka painting experience offered in-house was a rare cultural immersion and highly enjoyable. The bar, located on a high floor, offers expansive views and a clear shot of the Potala Palace, making it quite a scenic spot; however, there's a minimum spend requirement at the bar, so it's not suitable just for quick photos. The yak milk ice cream was excellent and worth trying.
## Service
The security guards at the door were genuinely warm and very responsible. They'd always greet us enthusiastically when we left and returned. When we rented and returned our car, the driver stood by to help us inspect the exterior, which we really appreciated! The hotel offers butler-style service, and the staff were enthusiastic and helpful, assisting with booking tickets for the 'Princess Wencheng' show. The overall response was prompt. However, I personally would prefer if the hotel used a unified service account for communication. This would avoid concerns about staff being off-duty due to shifts and make guests feel more comfortable communicating. (A big thank you to my Trip.com customer service team; when I was out, I could only communicate via voice messages or calls, but the butler would always send messages or make voice calls, which I couldn't pick up. So, I ended up communicating directly with the Trip.com team.)
## Breakfast
The breakfast buffet wasn't particularly varied and lacked local ******* specialties; the taste was average. The steamed ******* eggs from the à la carte menu are highly recommended. The yak yogurt had a more mainstream flavor, likely adjusted to cater to international guests' palates.

Very good hotel, can view the famous Potala palace from bar and certain room. Delicious breakfast and more variety to be selected from restaurant and highly recommended dining in their Chinese restaurant, there serve so yummy goose liver
One of the best stayings in my 10 days trip in Tibet! Staff greets us with a warm Tibetan Herbal Tea with a welcoming scarf and warm towels to warm us up. Friendly staff was helpful and efficient during check in. Room was spacious and clean. More than enough quality amenities were supplied. Comfortable bed for good sleep and most importantly sufficient and steady oxygen can be supplied by the hotel. Humidifier was also one of the best we encountered throughout the whole trip. Absolutely loving the traditional Chinese style room and hotel design that doesn't look old school but authentic. Convenient location where accessible to everywhere! Highly recommend!!
This is by a long way the best hotel I have stayed in , in Tibet. Love the ”Manor” feel, at the same time homely. The rose garden which decorates Lakari cafe ia a lovely place to eat, relax, wind down. Food & service excellent. There are in addition two other restaurant on site, serving authentic Chinese & Tibetian food, yum. DURING a qord in the garden, I notice birds churping and hunting worms on the lawn ! Rooms takes on a modern Tibetian style, everything works & impeccably clean. Staff are v warm, helpful, even helped w my washing, offered to show me around on her day off. A most enjoyable stay. Tops all otherss I have stayed in Tibet.
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location is perfect, close to everything, and the property itself is modern, stylish, and very comfortable. The views were truly amazing and made the stay even more special. The only area that could be improved was breakfast — while the options were good, it did feel a bit crowded at times and the variety could have been better. Overall, I would still highly recommend this hotel and would happily return.

Live in Shanze, there are snow-capped mountains, peach blossoms, and lakes. The room is large and comfortable, the environment is great, and the service attitude is great👍But there is no door or curtain between the bathtub and the sleeping area, which doesn't feel very good. I hope it can be improved.
