Easy to install. Convenient to use. Good signal. Works well even in many places. There is a link to check how much you have used. Recommended. No need to put in a SIM card, it's a hassle.

I've used TripAdvisor's eSIM plan in Japan and Thailand before. It offers flexible data allowances and durations, is convenient, and inexpensive. The only drawback is the need for a QR code to activate the network. So, I always use a tablet at the Taiwan airport to display the QR code, then scan it with my phone (phones can't directly scan QR codes, or maybe I just don't know how). During this trip to Japan, I visited Tokyo and Karuizawa, mainly for map browsing and research. The network connection was smooth and problem-free. I didn't use customer service, so I won't rate it.

The signal is unstable. After watching videos for a while each day, the signal becomes extremely slow, and even mobile payment functions become unusable.

This is my second purchase. Installation via Ctrip was very quick; even with minor friction, it wouldn't start, but a restart fixed it. Once in Japan, it worked perfectly after disabling airplane mode, no settings required, and I encountered no problems. It mostly uses LTE, but it works smoothly, and the signal doesn't drop on the subway. Overall, a great user experience.
