Le Méridien is great for couples; remember to book a pool-access room. Armari is just a huge motel, incredibly crowded, with no service, and the white towels are usually yellowed. Its only advantage is its proximity to the city center.

We had an absolutely fantastic time, Amir was a fantastic guide, a real character who had a wealth of knowledge and a really charming way of putting it across. We found out lots of info that you would never know if you’d just walked around by yourself and the horse carriage ride was the icing on the cake! (As well as the lovely cake that Amir organised for everyone as we left!) If you visit Neuschwanstein, this is definitely the tour you should book!

I purchased a Eurail pass because it is cheaper than buying individual tickets, especially when I have to take long-distance train journeys multiple times. Furthermore, with delays on European trains—particularly long-distance ones—being severe these days, even if you have reserved a seat, you may find yourself having to take different trains along the way. In such situations, the unrestricted Eurail pass has been a great help.
