I've used esim in the past on my Android (Samsung Galaxy), so it was easy to activate it upon arrival. My friend is using Apple and it was a bit trickier. Not the fault of the esim but the device 😅 (or user). We travelled from Cairo to Aswan and Hargada. I had no issue with the esim.

I activated the Egypt 5G eSIM, 10 GB data package, 24-hour billing for 30 days at home via Trip.com and switched it on after landing. Everything worked perfectly. We got two eSIM cards, installed them on our phone back home in Russia, and upon arrival in Hurghada, we quickly found a network (the orange light seemed to be on all the time). Everything works perfectly, as long as the phone has any network coverage at all. It gets up to 5G (real) speed, although 4G occasionally pops up, and the signal even dropped to 3G at times, but that's a question of location and signal strength, not the performance of the SIM cards.

Absolutely delightful. I bought it for Turkey. The connection was simple; I connected to Turkcell myself. The signal was great everywhere, and the internet was stable. It lasted more than a week. One downside: I never received a confirmation SMS for my travel card, but we solved the problem another way. SMS was included in the package, though. The number was French, and they called several times.
