I ordered two eSIM cards. One for me and one for my wife. For some reason, the connection didn't work in China, which was disappointing at first. Then it turned out I needed to enable roaming in the SIM card settings (iPhone 17). And I got a connection in the Philippines. The reception is pretty good, you can even make video calls.★

I purchased an 8-day eSIM, and it was stable throughout my trip to Fukuoka, including visits to Ito-majima and Dazaifu. It automatically switched to 5G when there was a 5G signal and 4G when there wasn't. The only time I encountered a very weak signal was in a basement restroom in a shopping mall; it was fine once I left, which was due to the mall's antenna coverage and not related to the eSIM. I installed the eSIM in China the day before departure. During installation, it might show an activation failure message, but that's normal. Wait until you can access the eSIM card and then turn it off. Once in Japan, activate it again and switch your cellular data to eSIM. It uses a local IP address, so you don't need to enable data roaming. You can also create a hotspot. The whole experience was smooth, and the price was reasonable. Highly recommended!★

I was in a rush to buy a SIM card the day of my trip, so I searched and found reviews saying local SIM cards were faster and better. So, I decided to buy one!
After purchasing, I was able to immediately register it with OneQ on my iPhone, and the Trip app's UI was very user-friendly.
As soon as I arrived in Japan, it was converted to AU, giving me unlimited data, making it incredibly convenient for using Google Maps on my trip!

Can not use google gemini,having bad connection experience in crowded area and sometimes event in only yoshinoya restaurant,while my wife's esim always have good connection. We use same phone. My wife's can use Gemini. It said gemini not available.
