Incredible restoration and a charming ancient village.
The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the château was closed. The setting is wonderful, the car parking brilliant, the village charming. Lovely inn in the shadow of the château.
A large panel next to the entrance door reads OPEN EVERYDAY EXCEPT TUESDAY and the sign on the door says OUVERT (open) even though it is actually closed. A group of people one of whom had travelled 20...
