Getting There - Located in Bai But area, Son Tra peninsula, Son Tra district, Da Nang city, Linh Ung Pagoda on Son Tra peninsula is about 10km north of the city center. The unique feature of this place is that the temple is located in the middle of the mountain and when viewed from afar, the shape of Linh Ung Son Tra Pagoda resembles a turtle. The front of the temple faces the vast sea, and the back leans against the cliff with a large and immense primeval forest.

In turn, 3 large statues of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara are placed on the right of the main hall, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva on the left and Shakyamuni in the middle are also carved very vividly and impressively.
In addition, when visiting the main hall, you can also admire the beauty of the four statues of the four bodies of the Dharma Protector and the 18 Arhats.
The biggest feature, leaving a deep impression on the hearts of tourists visiting at this Linh Ung pagoda in Da Nang, it is impossible not to mention that is the statue of Quan The Am Buddha with a height of 47m, a diameter of 35m all lotuses. UNESCO recognized as the tallest statue of Avalokitesvara in Southeast Asia.

Very cool place. The complex has voluntary parking for motorbikes which is nice.A little crowded and it seems the tourists go over the top with feeding the monkeys (which you're not actually supposed to do).Of course the statue is awesome.

Lin Ung Temple is a temple with a large Guanyin located on the sea of Da Nang on Son Tra Island, a beautiful viewpoint of Da Nang. You can drive in the morning or charter a taxi. It is about 20 minutes from Da Nang city. On the way up to the temple there is a Santorini-themed cafe Son Tra Marina. Enjoy drinks and snacks.
best time to visit is in the evening around 5 plus during Aug to Sep period. you can enjoy the day view as well as the night view of the city and the temple. the temple closes at 9 pm so you can have enough time to explore.
