After the Minghong years were merged into Langyu County, Fengyu Inspection Department was established. Fengyu Township was established in Wuyuan County in the Republic of China. After the establishment of New China, Fengyu Township was established in Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture in November 1956. After 1958, it was changed to Fengyu Commune, Fengyu District, etc., and was set up as Fengyu Township in 1987, and the township was withdrawn in September 2000.
