I visited for the purpose of the first sunrise and snowy mountain trekking. You can park your car in the free parking lot, depart at 5:30 on New Year's Day, and take the gondola to the summit station. You will arrive at the observatory in about 10 minutes on foot, so wait for the coming light there. You can see Yatsugatake, Mt. Fuji, and Mt. Kaikomagatake well. The temperature is minus ６〜７ degrees, so it's not cold if you take good measures against the cold.

Over 20 years later, it has developed into a wonderful ski resort.
