    It is said to have been the founder of Kobo Daishi, and the main hall is an eclectic style using Japanese style and Tang style in detail, and this style is the oldest existing building. The five-storied pagoda is the fifth oldest national treasure pagoda in Japan, and is designated as a national treasure along with the main hall. (From the homepage)
