Perfect National Park Experience.
Amazing! Started our day trip driving from Whanganui one hour up the winding, narrow River Road to Pipiriki. We passed through many beautiful small villages perched on the river bank. The photo ops...
not just country is fantastic, but all around too. Water is great to drink. Sure North Island is not as South, but has his beauty. Just loved go by this part of country.
Guided five day canoe tour for a family group with an age range of 11 to 76. Hard work at times, but lots of fun. Guides were brilliant, but would recommend that you choose the canoe hire company care...

Beutiful river
It is a wobderful drive up the Wanganui river, take your time and make plentof stops to take in the different views.

Canoeing the Whanganui River from Whakahoro to Pipiriki (3 days)
An adventure worth doing, only wish we had discovered it earlier and taken our children as teenagers.
