Burlington Canal Suspension Bridge (Burlington Canal Lift Bridge) located on the west bank of Lake Ontario, built in 1826. The structure of the Suspension Bridge is a two-tower drive vertical lift and removable bridge. Under the conditions of the suspension bridge all rising water levels, the bridge can pass large cargo ships with a maximum height of 36.5 meters, and usually only small cruise ships, kayaks and canoees with a height of not more than 5 meters can be used. Due to the increasing traffic, the new Burlington Bridge was built in 1962 on the west side of the canal drawbridge and was widened to two-way six-lane in 1982. The bridge is still in use, and the bridge will run about 4,000 times a year, and 6,500 large ships will pass through the canal when the bridge rises. On the west side of the canal, there is an ancient stone base into a canal lighthouse (Beach Canal Lighthouse), built in 1858, and still in use.
