Hangzhou locals' favorite old street! The night view is too beautiful!
🌿If you are traveling to Hangzhou, don't go to the crowded West Lake anymore. Recently, I checked in a less popular scenic spot in Hangzhou - Qiaoxi Straight Street, 📍located near Gongchen Bridge represented by the Asian Games mascot "Chenchen".
·
🌿A Gongchen Bridge, half of Hangzhou's history.
·
🌿Different from the crowded Xiaohe Straight Street, this is the old street that Hangzhou locals love the most. From dusk to the beginning of the lights, on the bank of the canal, you can see the most beautiful night view of Hangzhou!
·
🌿Qiaoxi Straight Street is not big, along Gongchen Bridge, south to the north side of Dengyun Bridge, west to Xiaohe Road, there are bookstores, coffee shops, cultural and creative shops, tea rooms, etc., especially suitable for calming down and slowly experiencing the fireworks of Hangzhou's old bottom.
·
🌿If you want to visit the Umbrella Museum, Fan Museum, Sword Museum, etc., it is recommended to reserve a whole day.

📍Address|480 Xiaohe Road, Gongshu District, Hangzhou City
" Qiaoxi Historical and Cultural District " is located on the west bank of Gongzhuqiao, Gongshu District, Hangzhou City. " Qiaoxi Historical District " has become a prosperous land and water pier in Gongzhuqiao area since the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, this area was called " Beiguan Night Market ". Because of the convenient transportation of the canal, the six rows (rice row, fish row, paper row, wine row, chai row, foreign bank), the six pavilions (smoking hall, tea house, drama hall, restaurant, gambling hall, brothel) were all along the river, known as " Little Shanghai ", Attracted a variety of people. In 1889, the earliest mechanical textile enterprises in Hangzhou were built here, and the beginning of Hangzhou's modern industry was opened. The block still has the most complete buildings along the river in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Minzhu and a large number of modern industrial relics. Today, it is a characteristic neighborhood in Hangzhou that shows the style of the canal.
Qiaoxi Historical and Cultural District consists of Qiaoxi Straight Street and Qiaolong Street, which is named after the arch bridge west. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it also had a foreign name "Little Shanghai", which can be imagined, at that time, the lively and bustling of this generation. Now Qiaoxizhi Street has become a popular place for tourism in Hangzhou section of the Grand Canal, and is the epitome of the Jiangnan market town by the canal.
You can reach it according to the map navigation, or you can take a water bus cruise to reach it. It is part of the canal scenic spot. There are shops, restaurants in Linhe, residents' homes, knife-scissors museum, art and craft museum, fan museum, Zhang Daxian Temple, Zhejiang's first electric light. At the end is the arch bridge.
The historical districts on the canal side are basically free, and these historical districts are more abundant in Qiaoxi historical districts. In addition to the canal landscape, there are arch bridges and various free museums.
After the renovation, Qiaoxizhi Street became very beautiful, near the arch bridge, the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal, rich in history, the commercial atmosphere is far lower than Hefang Street, quieter and more life. Teahouses, bookstores, restaurants also have some, there are some street snacks, museums, etc., many of which are still net red shops, such as the legendary Nanpai Sanshu's shop, old happy tea house, etc. Come over at night, there will be lights, another taste, and you can choose to take a cruise to the canal sightseeing.
Qiaoxi Historic District is connected to the arch bridge, next to D32, there are many people on weekends, along the canal, leisure dining to enjoy the canal landscape, there are three free museums, it is worth visiting
