The Uberhebe crater in the western United States is located in the north of Death Valley National Park. The crater is one kilometer wide and more than 200 meters deep. The age of the crater is estimated to be 800 to 7,000 years. The bare rock formations in the crater were formed in the Miocene, mostly red-orange conglomerates. These deposits are formed by stream deposits containing limestone, mudstone, quartzite and volcanic pebbles, which can reach a diameter of 20 cm.
