Guze Forest, Boluo Township

When Boro had skilled artists who could engrave the scriptures independently, when they built the Dege Printing Academy in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, there were a number of skilled engraving workers here. Now the scripture boards preserved in the Dege Printing Academy are mainly masterpieces carved in the Boro Guze area. They can not only engrave Danzhuer and Ganzhuer Sutra, but also engrave the difficult wind horse flag and Buddha statue patterns. The history of the carving here, the number of workers, the high skills of the carving, is rare in other places in Tibet, is a veritable "wood carving hometown". Polo stereotypes are exquisite, which is a fine art in Tibetan carving art. Due to the fine workmanship, the process of wood carving is more complicated, and the wood carving process of a scripture is breathtaking!

Located in the Bolu Township, Jiangda County, on both sides of the Zhaqu River, a tributary of the Jinsha River, about 50 kilometers away from the county seat, open to cars. Here, green mountains and green waters, large forest area, many varieties of trees, especially the teak wood with the carved plate, are unique tree species here.

The Polo woodcut has a long history and has been supplying the Dege Printing Institute; the Polo is 2,800 meters above sea level, with the famous Gurong Grand Canyon, the natural environment is beautiful, it is worth a visit!
