"Watching" consists of 18 singing and dancing programs in four scenes, with several representative traditional villages in Qiandongnan, Guizhou as the background, and the numerous intangible cultural heritages in Qiandongnan as the main content. It is based on real characters such as village elders, intangible cultural heritage inheritors, and ordinary people living in the traditional villages in Qiandongnan. It expresses the feelings of the Miao and Dong people in Qiandongnan who love their hometown, respect nature, are positive and hardworking, and their persistent watch on the national cultural heritage and green mountains and clear waters of their hometown. It shows the unique charm of the culture and art of ethnic minorities in Qiandongnan represented by a series of intangible cultural heritages, and also reveals the confusion faced by national traditional culture under the impact of modern civilization, and also shows the high degree of consciousness and confidence in the inheritance and development of national traditional culture.

"Watching" is a joint work of China National Song and Dance Theater and Qiandongnan Prefecture Song and Dance Troupe. It makes artistic innovations in structure and form on the basis of maintaining the original ecological song and dance art.
