Birthplace of Bridgestone Tire
From JR Kurume station to the castle’s ruins, I walked along Bridgestone Street. Beside this street, there is still a factory of this tire maker. Mr. Ishibashi, the founder of Bridgestone, was known a...
Drive by the original HQ & factory of Bridgestone Corp.
... and that's about it. There is a cluster of boutique shops, but nothing noteworthy except for the George Hamburg Shop. The atmosphere of the area is dainty with red brick buildings, wide side walks...
This is the road from Kurume Station to the Ruins of Arima Castle and Kurume University Hospital. There is also a Bridgestone factory on the way. Actually, I walked to the Ruins of Kurume Castle, but bricks are embedded on the sidewalk. It was a sun after the rain, so it felt very slippery when I walked on the old bricks. If the weather is nice, it's a pleasant route.
This is often crowded during commuting hours. Moreover, it smells like tires because it is in front of Bridgestone. According to the time zone, it is recommended that you avoid the rush to work and the rush to go home because it is busy! The bakery on this street is recommended!
I knew a company called Bridgestone, but for the first time I knew it was the birthplace. I made a great contribution to the local area and felt that he was a wonderful person.
