What travelers say:
It is the oldest colonial church in the Philippines, which survived the bombing in Manila. Only when the church tower on the left broke in 1836 due to an earthquake, that part was demolished. It was never rebuilt. Due to its ancient church and adjacent monastery, it is a fine museum of religious and church art. In 1993, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage List, called Baroque Filipino Church.
