The history of Jerash is a long and detailed one that is best discovered whilst exploring the ruins and museums of the city itself. The city was conquered by General Pompey in 64 BC when it was named Gerasa. Gerasa grew in wealth and later became a colony in the third century. Due to an earthquake and a number of crusades leading up to the 12th Century, the city’s ancient sites were not discovered again until the end of the 19th century.

The Hashemite Plaza is a plaza spread over 20,000 sq and one of the most popular spots in Amman. Located on Al-Hashemi Street, it has pretty foundations, lovely gardens, and seating facilities across the open area. With eateries, restaurants, and cafes a visit to the Hashemite Plaza is a pleasant way to spend an eveningNamed after the Jordanian Royal family, the eastern end of the plaza is one of the best places to take a stroll and enjoy the surrounding views. Also, the Amman Book Festival is conducted here each year. The Hashemite Plaza is surrounded by a couple of landmark Roman ruins. The Roman Theatre looks splendid with its 6000 seats looming on the southern side of the Hashemite Plaza. On the eastern side is Odeon, the smaller theatre. A short distance afar is Nymphaeum, the Roman public fountain. Besides, the Citadel Hill stands tall above the Hashemite Plaza and offers some great bird-eye views of it from its top.

The highlight of my trip in Jordan. Most people will say you only need a half a day, but I disagree. If you’re a beach person you can definitely spend a whole day out there. Be sure to do the mud treatment (see pic) as well. It is great for your skin.#mytripvlog #visitJordan #DeadSea #awesomepic

Women must wear gowns to cover their hair in order to go in and visit. There is a dressing room specially designed for women to change into gowns. The gowns are free to borrow. Photographs can be taken outdoors, but not indoors. Five prayers a day and six hours of sunrise are displayed on the electronic clock on the wall. About half an hour in advance, the city's loudspeakers remind Muslims that they are ready to pray.

In 1991, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities of Jordan, the American Center of Oriental Research (ACOR), and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) initiated a project to create an archaeological park in the heart of Madaba. The park includes a well-preserved stretch of a late Roman street and buildings dating from the Roman, Byzantine, and early Islamic periods and the early 20th century. The goals of the park project were to explore the history of Madaba, to protect its archaeological heritage from destruction, and to revitalize downtown Madaba. The need to preserve Madaba’s rich heritage became acute during the building boom of the 1970s and 1980s. The value of having an archaeological park in the city center had been shown by the extensive excavations of Michele Piccirillo, who at that time was preparing a major ACOR publication, The Mosaics of Jordan (1993). For the Madaba Archaeological Park Project, ACOR played a pivotal role in excavating, conserving, and creating shelters over multiple archaeological sites, in order to preserve them and make them accessible to visitors.

[Love the car family is coming] | Jordan's Auto Museum, King Hussein's famous love car, this pavilion came in and I was dazzled. Ticket information: ordinary tourists without guide 3JD➕ voice guide 5JD12 children under the age of 1JD⏱ Reception time: Monday to Thursday and Saturday and Sunday: 10 am to 7 pm Friday: 11 am to 7 pm [Closed on Tuesday] Traffic information: Address: King Husseim ParkCab is a good choice, because it is really big and sun-dried, Take a taxi from the city center to here about 3JD. Taxi software recommendation: Careem clearly marked the price is not easy to be cut. 30 yuan to see these hao cars, value for money. What you can think of, the car you know is basically here, there is a detailed introduction next to each car, or the time and place used. There are many places to take pictures in the exhibition hall. There is a large classroom-like classroom. There are lectures and the like, but whether you can catch up is really luck! It is not far from Rainbow Street. There is a big park on the side, but the sun is stronger. Please pay attention to sun protection. Wearing reference: the venue is very luxury, it is recommended that the plain color is cold
