Best kept secret in Japan!
So why the heck would you go to Koumi? Well its cause while all the travelers are going to overcrowded touristy obligatory places like Kyoto to get a "geniuine" Japan experience, you can actually be ...
The only architect in the world ・ Ando Zhongxiong で Design の Art Museum
Original Text
Opened on July 29, 1997. This museum was designed by Tadao Ando, located at the foot of Yatsugatake, on the Matsubarako Plateau, Koumi-cho, Nagano Prefecture. The sophisticated space harmonizes with the surrounding nature and gives an environment for familiarity with art. It is mainly owned by the work of the late Kuribayashi Imamoo, a painter from Kokai Town and a member of the former National Painting Association, and the work of the late Tatsuzo Shimaoka, a living national treasure and a potter, dealing with local writers, contemporary art, architecture, design, etc. We are holding a special exhibition. ... from the observatory to see the museum building.
A museum right next to Hachimine no Yu. Hachimine no Yu and the town bus stop are also together. It seems to have been designed by a famous architect, the appearance is very modern, and there seems to be a restaurant, so I wanted to go around with Hachimine no Yu as a set, but this time I gave up the museum because it didn't match the bus time. If both wanted to slow down, it seemed that they had to go in the morning or drive.
It's worth going just to see this endless thing. The inside is clean and bright, and you can take a leisurely tour. It is also available only at the museum shop. There are also hot water and direct sales offices nearby, so you can play 1 day around.
It is a museum near Hachimine no Yu. It stood out in a very nice building. When I visited, the Richard Hoa exhibition was held and I enjoyed art at the museum in nature.
