Wanaka, located between Queenstown and Te Anau, is a place you absolutely can't miss on the South Island of New Zealand.
What to do?
✅Lake Wanaka
The lonely tree, seeing more photos is not as good as experiencing it in person, trust me you have to walk under the tree, let your family take pictures from a distance, it's too romantic
Feed the seagulls, there are many seagulls by the lake who are not afraid of people at all, prepare bread and you're good to go
Take a walk along the lake, the beauty here is very life-like, enjoy the quiet time

✅Puzzling World Stuart Landsberg Maze World
A very cute colorful house maze world, see if you can get out, play time is about 1 hour
✅Wanaka Lavender Farm
Open all year round, from September to May each year, the farm becomes a purple paradise. It's very close to the Maze World and you can check in together
Where to stay?
Recommend Lake Side Lakeside Apartment, the room is very large, 5-10 minutes walk from the lonely tree, the apartment has its own swimming pool, and there is a children's non-powered playground opposite
What to eat
Francesca's Italian Kitchen Wanaka, Italian meal, pizza fries pasta, very popular need to book in advance, will be cancelled if late
Patagonia Chocolates, local New Zealand ice cream
Ding Point 168, Chinese food, Cantonese cuisine, the taste is not bad
Newworld Supermarket, take a look at the local supermarket, make a meal by yourself, the feeling is very different
Lake Wanaka, created 10,000 years ago by huge glaciers, lives next to Lake Hawia, separated by a small piece of silvery white land called the neck. These two lakes surrounded by magnificent peaks have beautiful cobbled beaches and are popular sights for locals and tourists, especially during the long and warm summer months.
That lonely tree, whenever you see it, is so beautiful, and someone plays the piano for you. The beauty of New Zealand is really beautiful in every corner, and it is natural and uncarved, and there are few places that need tickets.
Wanaka, located in the Lake District of Wanaka on New Zealand’s South Island, offers a fascinating combination of exquisite living, family entertainment and adventure. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants and fun shops, and sightseeing flights or skydiving can be arranged. In addition, a willow tree in Wanaka has attracted a large number of photographers because of its shape, long in the water, and is famous for local photographer Ice Sheet Chiga named "lonely willow tree", which can be described as one of New Zealand's representative attractions.
It’s so beautiful to walk around the lake and there are many restaurants, bars, cafes around to sit down and have something to drink
The lake is blue, and there are many high-end hotels built around the lake.
Lake Wanaka is in Wanaka town, about an hour's drive from Queen Town. Wanaka is a beautiful place. The lake is very quiet, very beautiful, very clean and pollution-free. Now the popularity is about the same as Queen Town. Many tourists will go to Wanaka first and then to Queenstown, but most of them travel by car. Wanaka is suitable for staying a few nights. It's absolutely worth staying quietly, enjoying the natural scenery and sleeping until she wakes up naturally. There aren't so many tourists in Queenstown. The town basically has everything. There are small shopping malls, gourmet restaurants, everything. The hotel is also newer, cheaper and equipped than Queen Town. It's really comfortable.
Skydive Wanaka's parachute jump here is very good. We need to make an early reservation. The weather is usually better in the morning. We jumped at 9 o'clock today. It's already cloudy! Skydiving has two altitudes of 15,000 feet and 12,000 feet. It is recommended that you jump 15,000 feet, because this free time is 60 seconds, better!
