It is located along National Highway 58 in the center of Tanegashima Town. I understood the life of Tanegashima in the past. Relics of buried cultural properties such as the Tachikiri ruins about 31,000 years ago are also on display
The exhibition is just like a folk museum, and the state of a private house and agricultural tools are exhibited. There was an exhibition related to the ruins on the second floor, and there was a large picture, so the image of the ruins was easy to understand.
I went to May 2017. It is a folk museum in Nakatanega Town. Many earthenware and stone tools excavated on Tanegashima are exhibited here, and you can see up close traces of people 々 living since the Jomon and Yayoi periods. The Hirota ruins are famous, but I was surprised to know that there are many other ruins on Tanegashima.
There is an exhibition about agriculture, local performing arts, and ruins in Nakatanega Town. You can also know the oldest Rikiri ruins in Japan. You can also watch an introduction video about Tanegashima, so you can get rough information in a short time.
