Living locally I visited Sherwood Forest almost weekly over the past fifteen years but only twice since the RSPB took over. On my visit yesterday we paid £5 for parking and I set off into the forest ...

Good choice of forest walks on fairly smooth pathways for young and old alike. Plenty of ice cream trucks, cafes, open space and play areas for kids to burn off lots of energy & picnic
