This beach is long and sandy with some rocky outcrops along the shore line, making it an interesting place to explore. It's in the more upmarket area of Foz do Douro. As such this is the beach to aim for if you fancy checking out the cafe and promenading scene. Sit and enjoy the waves or the setting sun and simply relax. Cold water as with all of Portugal!

Fancy beach, with a nice cafè, although I prfer other spots on the sea, this is nevertheless charming

This a beach front cafe in Porto which is a nice option if you want some good food, in a nice atmosphere with unbeatable views. They have outdoor seating on their terrace, which is the best spot to enjoy the views of the ocean during the hotter months, but as you can imagine it is harder to find a seat here during these months. It's also open late into the evening during the summer, and is a nice place to go for relaxing drinks with friends.
