Sintra + Regaleira (day trip from Lisbon) 🇵🇹 with dos and don’ts 😉
#cherryblossom2024
This place is certainly a must go if you are in Lisbon. It’s really close and beautiful. A day trip is enough to see everything.
🚗 My suggestion is to get a group/private tour that pick you up in the city and show you around Sintra.
It’s more convenient and you don’t need to find a parking lot, so it’s way less stressful. 🚫
Choose a tour that includes the palace and the regaleira, they are both in Sintra, but different places.
👑 The palace is where the king used to spend his summer, and later on became his official house (but I won’t give spoilers, you just and learn by yourself).
🪴 The Regaleira is a private garden with many mystical stories, inverted towers and tree species from all over the world (but again, you just visit to truly understand the mystery behind his place).
🍩 Finally, the tour guys will certainly bring you to the village, where you can try some sweets that were invented originally there. The most popular shop is the Periquita.
🍫Also try the Ginga in the chocolate cup.
⛔️My tour also included a fast visit to Cascais, but I don’t recommend it, the visit is too fast and you cannot really enjoy your time there. So If you can, skip it 😉

The small town of Sintra built on the mountain is like a beautiful fairy tale world. The rolling alleys, the colorful buildings, the scales of shops... strolling around, buying and eating, can't be busy.
To travel to Lisbon, Portugal, you must check in Sintra, a town in the Portuguese Lisbon region, located 20 kilometers northwest of the city of Lisbon. With its long history and culture, beautiful natural scenery and diverse and brilliant architecture, Sintra cultural landscape was included in the World Heritage Site in 1995. Walking in it, the splendor of the brilliant palace, the green and colorful manor courtyard, the colorful architecture of the different styles, the rolling stone paths, the bar shops, the comfortable and comfortable tourists... Byron's "Eden" is so quiet and comfortable, It's a lingering experience.
The ancient city of Sintra, Portugal, is a famous tourist attraction in Portugal. The attractions in Portugal feel less than those in Spain. When we came, we caught up with the cloudy day, so we didn't take good photos.
sinta has an amazing air. loads of green and nature to enjoy! the castles are fabulous!
Sintra is a famous cultural city with a long history in Portugal. Many buildings are listed as world cultural heritage, and it is a small city that has to go. There are famous Pena Palace, Moorish castle, and the spectacular Cape Rocca. Every scenic spot will give you the impulse to go. If you don't come, you will definitely regret it.
