    Great nature area near Charlotte

    Great area for fishing, hiking, cycling, and family adventures. Includes over 7mi of trails, fishing areas, a playground, and a nature reserve.

    Nice trails for running

    McDowell Nature Preserve has some excellent trails for running. Nice changes of scenery with some good hills. Beautiful lake views and free to enter. Nature Center focused on the kiddos.

    A piece of paradise in Charlotte

    A beautiful park just south of Charlotte,trails,picnic tables and lake Wylie. Not very crowded during the week a great place for a hike, a quiet picnic or just sitting on a quit bench
