An exhibition / educational facility with the theme of Manyoshu. There were places where the content seemed to be strong to stop by for sightseeing.
Original Text
It is an exhibition school education facility based on Manyoshu, which is thought to have been built because iemochi Otomo, who was deeply related to Manyoshu, was the governor of ecchu province in the Nara period, and he composed many Waka poems in this place. The paid area is shown in the first room with animation related to Otomo iemochi's Waka (not only the front screen but also the left and right screens, so you need to see all three sides). In the next room, the explanation of Manyoshu itself, ecchu and Manyoshu, and Manyo plants ...
Access is not good. It is a 20 ~ 30 minutes walk (and a slope) from the JR Himi Line "Fushiki", which is one per hour, and it takes about 10 minutes on foot from the nearest bus stop. It's quite questionable whether it's a facility worth the trip to that extent. All are replicas, and there is no video exhibition or much ingenuity.
When you go up the slope, the History Museum stands calmly. When I visited, it seems that there was a plan that I could try on the costumes of men and women in the Manyo era and patrol the hall with hope (charged). The Nara period customs (costume, mokkan, meals, etc.) are exhibited along with many songs composed by Otomo Iemochi who was transferred to Kokufu in Takaoka, and was fascinated by the nature and seasonal changes. There were also dioramas of the Kokufu site and miniatures of the envoy to Tang Dynasty China. D... in the hall
It seems that it is Manyo along with Nara and Asuka. There is a permanent exhibition. There is Manyo Garden. It seems that there are abundant literature materials. Admission fee is 210 yen. It will be cheap for those who are interested in Manyo.
JR Walk about 20 from Fushiki Station on the Himi Line. At the Takaoka City Manyo History Museum, Iemochi Otomo was appointed as Echigo Chugoku Shi from the latter half of 20 generation and produced many works here. It is a museum that introduces Iemochi Otomo, who compiled the Manyoshu, and the local city where he was assigned. The life and culture of that time were introduced in the hall.

It's not a place to go all the way.
