Traveling to Australia, this stop came to Sydney, to the rocky area of Sydney to punch in. Passing by, I saw this museum, located opposite the Sydney Opera House, founded in May 1989 and officially opened in 1991, collecting and exhibiting contemporary art in Australia, Asia Pacific and around the world. Early owned by the University of Sydney and largely funded by the South Wales Government and the Australian Parliament since 2001. The museum has three floors and more than 4,000 pieces, of which 3,060 were donated by artist John Power, mostly post-1960 artwork. The museum is open from 10am to 5pm daily, and is extended on Wednesday to 9pm, with Christmas breaks and no fees for visits.

We had only a few hours left in town and we decided to spend it at this museum. There was a small collection with some interesting works by Australian artists. We got a guide (about an hour) and it was free. This visit to this museum made us both memorable and enjoyable. I highly recommend it as it gives you a better view of the collection. The cafe on the fourth floor has a nice view and worth a visit
It is free here, very large, there are many staff guarding contemporary art, some of which are good and some are difficult to understand. The place is very large, but most rooms are empty. So many staff, it must cost a lot. I feel some artworks are excellent, they must be very expensive, I would question whether it could be worth the money. Art is a necessity, but it seems to be lost here. Many people think differently.
Located in the Rocks area, it is easy to take the car and boat by light rail. Art creation exhibitions are free and charged
现代博物馆很大 经常会有展览哦!
It is my habit to punch in museums and galleries in each city that can see the Harbour Bridge. The third time I came to Sydney, I finally had time to see the Museum of Contemporary Art in the Rock District (also known as the Australian Modern Art Museum Museum of Contemporary Art Australia) just beside the ring pier, not far from the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge 😁 Recommended Index: 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅 🌈 is Australia's premier museum, specializing in exhibitions, interpretations and collections of contemporary art from Australia and the world. 🌈 exhibits here will be updated in a month, and many important contemporary exhibitions are attracted to this place every year. 🌈 MCA store on the first floor can buy a lot of wonderful crafts, decorations and photo collections, etc., very stylish, of course, the price is not very close to the people 🤣 🌈 The top floor (4th floor) cafe is in a good location, facing Sydney Bay, you can see the Harbour Bridge (half side 🤪) And the big cruise ship 🛳 📍 Detailed address: 140 George St, The Rocks NSW 2000 🚙 Traffic strategy: From the city center (myer department store) or the opera house or the Harbour Bridge, you can walk directly to ⏰ Open hours: Monday-Tuesday, Thursday-Sunday 10:00– 17:00, Wednesday 10:00– 21:00 💰 Tickets: Free (special exhibitions are charged, adults 24 Australian dollars, art museum members free) 🚶 Expected time: about 2 hours 💡 Practical tips 1⃣️ Open on time at 10:00, if you arrive early, you can stroll around the famous rock area by the way, and there is an Internet celebrity shop nearby ❤the pancake on the rock🥞 (the next note will be mentioned). 2⃣️ Top floor cafe ☕ The location is not bad, but it can't be said to be "excellent", because the Sydney Opera House is not visible on the terrace, and it is properly blocked by the big cruise ship 😂 3⃣️ You can go to the museum's official website 🖥 in advance to learn about recent exhibits.
The Australian Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney is a very interesting modern museum. There are very creative murals, or a variety of fancy designs. There is a wall with a variety of colors and styles of plastic slippers, although I don’t understand what it means. But it's still fun.
Turning from the circular pier of Sydney Harbour, it is almost the Museum of Contemporary Art diagonally opposite the Sydney Opera House. It is free and some special exhibitions are paid. There are a lot of works that most of them don't understand. Just take a look at the flowers! Feel the strange artistic imagination of modern artists.
