Kek Lok Si temple is a unique Buddhist temple located in Penang, Malaysia. The temple is know as one of the largest Buddhist temples in southeast Asia, and is host to many varied and interesting monuments of worship. The temple contains many intricate statues and shrines to different important figures in Buddhism, including statues of the Buddha and of Chinese gods. Not only this, but if you travel upwards to the seventh floor you will be greeted with over 10,000 images of the Buddha. The temple, though a place of worship, is also well equipped with many shops fit for tourists.

Kek Lok Si is one of the most popular temples in Penang. It boasts extremely beautiful architecture and design that is certain to capture anyone’s eye. It’s always very clean and well-maintained. I highly recommend for you to visit during Chinese New Year. The temple will be decorated with beautiful lights which looks beautiful at night. You won’t want to miss it!
Checking out the beautiful Kek Lok Si temple in Penang.
Love how the old Kek Lok Si temple is juxtaposed against the modern skyline.
Penang Temple, Penang, Malaysia, I have seen the most beautiful Buddhist temples
Malaysia is a multi-ethnic, multicultural and multi-faith country. There are many believers in Hinduism, Halalism, Buddhism, etc., but the Penang Temple in Penang is absolutely I have been to so many Southeast Asian Buddhist temples, one of the most loved ones!
Jile Temple is located under the flag mountain. The whole temple is built on the mountain. The lotus scorpion, the pagoda, the glazed tile, the round arched Buddha statue and so on have very Chinese characteristics, and the green plant coverage is very high. There are tropical plants such as pools, flowers and potted plants, which are rare in domestic temples!
At Kek Lok Si, you can enjoy the beauty of Penang from above. During the rainy season in October, after the shower, the sun casts a thick cloud and illuminates the yellow walls of the Kek Lok Si, making the whole temple Brilliant.
Kek Lok Temple does not need tickets, except for a pagoda inside, it needs 2rm, the tickets are not expensive, but it is definitely worth to go and see, each floor of the tower is enshrined with a Guanyin, the top of the wind is very large, vision Beautiful! Very recommended!
