Historical Architecture
Building by Famous Architects
nnd.jltaTaman Sari is one of the tourist attractions in Yogyakarta that is interesting to visit. This place also has historic and artistic buildings that are suitable for photo objects. Its location, which is not far from Zero Point Yogyakarta, is also a tourist destination that is in great demand by local and foreign tourists. Taman Sari as one of the historical relics of the pride of the Yogyakarta palace, there is a unique building that has a strong ancient feel, complete with bathing pools, water canals, suspension bridges, and underground passages.

psychoearliThe famous keraton yogyakarta is one of must visit when you come to jogjakarta. Keraton is the place or house where the king and family living there, and still use until now. Yogyakarta people very proud to their keraton. There are some special moment when keraton open house and celebrating the holy event of java calender. When that happen, you can see a lot people come to keraton and can see king and his family in keraton. On the normal day, keraton only open just the front area i guess. Ticket entrance is 7k idr for local(plus camera). For foreigner 12k idr(plus camera fee). Opening hours is 9am - 2pm. But if you want to watching the traditional dance you should come by 9am every morning.

Historical Site
novita magdalenaOn the 14th day of my tour around Java with the Java Private Tour, I got the first time to visit this UNESCO world heritage historical site, this place is one of the wishlist that I submitted to the Java Private Tour to visit in this series of tours around my Java in 2021.I admit that this ancient Javanese temple is indeed very magnificent, when compared to other temples in Southeast Asia, during the two hours I was in this place it felt like the time was not enough, because this place is very spacious. The place is very well maintained, and clean. In addition, the guide from the temple management is very clear in terms of telling the history of the temple and can take me back to the past, to the historical period when this temple was first built to its current condition. Thank you Indonesia, there are many things I can learn from this beautiful country, thank you tripadvisor for recommending the Java Private Tour, and thank you Java Private Tour for making my travel plans that I have compiled over the past year become real and realized.

liazlWatched the sunrise over Mt Merapi on a Jeep tour. Great experience even briefly saw a lava flow! We had a private jeep for two of us. Driver really knowledgeable and helpful all way through. It was completely worth the 3am start to get there. Would recommend that you do the sunrise rather than sunset as weather in the afternoon is much more unpredictable. It was relatively quiet but by the time we left at 8am it was beginning to be very busy with tours arriving thick and fast.

World Heritage Sites and top historic destinations for you! The late Maya Angelou once remarked, “History, despite its wrenching pain, cannot be unlived, but if faced with courage, need not be lived again.” It is precisely this fascination with what came before that inspired us to look at the world’s most amazing historic destinations. Temples and monuments to grand empires feature prominently in our list, poignant reminders that no matter how much we think the world around us fixed and constant, time erases all in the end. Yogyakarta Travel Tips

About Yogyakarta

With a thriving population of about half a million residents, Yogyakarta is at once one of the largest cities in Java, and also the most popular tourist destination. If you are looking to check out some Javanese art, you have now come to the right place. Whether its traditional architecture and painting, or dance and shadow-puppet performances, this city is the leading cultural haven for a variety of traditional means of expression. Though there is truly an overabundance of beautiful ornate temples, a few most noteworthy specific ones to check out are Borobudur and Prambanan Buddhist temple complexes. The truly one-of-a-kind architecture of the stupas found at these locations is some of the most unique architectural creations ever constructed, and gives off a sort of haunting mystical aura thanks to their stunning appearance. The list of attractions goes on and here, with several UNESCO World Heritage Site and plenty of stunning natural attractions to go along with the man made ones. For a unique look at a culture that seems alien under the gaze of western-centric perspectives, Yogyakarta is a veritable showcase of mysterious beauty.
