Speaking of Tokai Village, it is a place where the name was also known because of a critical nuclear accident before. Right in front of the nuclear-related facility is this Nuclear Science Museum. Admission was free, and there were many exhibits such as nuclear power and radiation, and it was a facility where you could learn a lot. I went with my children, but it's a form that children can enjoy, and if you come to Tokai Village, this is a spot I definitely recommend!
Radiation Science Museum rather than nuclear power

There are few exhibits about nuclear power as energy. The most interesting thing was the X-ray inspection device at the airport. I was impressed that I could operate the real thing and it looked like this. One hour is enough for the tour.
The only one in the east of the country is the capital of the atomic power station

Former Prime Minister Nakasone, who contributed to the promotion of nuclear power, has died, but I think there are many points that should be handed down to the achievements of Ibaraki Prefecture. The number of visitors since the opening of the museum 2,424,362 (2019/11/30 current) is surprisingly small, and it seems to symbolize the low interest of the public, but the world's largest cloud chamber has forgotten the passage of time for a while. That it exists in space I can feel it and recommend it.
I think there are various opinions about nuclear power, but aside from that, the development of physics is amazing! That is the first impression. You can learn about the mechanism and use of nuclear power. I think there were more explanations written than easy for everyone to understand. Since the science color is strong, you may like or dislike it. Admission is free. The large fog box where you can see natural radiation was like a highlight. What I was most interested in was the nearby ...
If you run along the Kyodo 245 line toward Hitachi, you will see the building and the signboard. You can see it for free just by filling in a simple municipal name at the reception. 2 The route from the floor, but there is little to see on the 2 floor. Most of the facilities are on the 1 floor. I can learn about nuclear power, but it's boring for people who are not interested in the many facilities to learn. I wish I could have more fun learning in theaters and videos. And I learned later in the pamphlet ...

I'm surprised at the development of physics.

It would be good for a social studies tour.
