There was an explanation board before planting the condominium on the right after climbing the coal danzaka. Shoyo Tsubouchi is said to have been widely active as a novelist, critic, dramatist, English literature scholar, and educator.

I visited when I took a walk around the land related to literary masters around Kikuzaka. Heading south from Kikuzaka and climbing a slightly steep coal cluster slope, but now there is only an explanation board left, and it is a city landscape.

This is the place where Shoyo Tsubouchi lived for several years from 1897. It's on the right side of the coal dam, but it may be easier to understand if you come from the Masasa Central Library and Bunkyo Furusato History Museum on the other side. Currently, there is an ordinary condominium and only a signboard. There was nothing to see in particular.

Now there's a normal condominium.
