Breadth of Museum Displays are Limited
We were looking for a few places to visit in Tsuruga. This would not be high on my recommendation list as there were not many displays and there were few English discriptions.
this is one of the only three national important cultural properties designated buildings in tsuruga city.

This is one of the only three national important cultural properties designated buildings in Tsuruga city (the other two; the large torii gate of Kihi Shrine, the Mikagedo, Amidado, Shoin, and Kuri of Saifukuji Temple). I am fascinated by the beauty of the exterior and interior, but what is surprising is that the dining room on the first basement floor 、 the auditorium on the third floor and the functions available to the citizens are available. I visited the bank buildings that remain This is the first bank building that has functions that citizens can use. In addition, "Yoshitsugu Otani" ファ...
The building of the former Owada Bank head office is in the museum. The statue standing in front of the float hall next door is Mr. Owada, the president of this bank. The building is marble, and without the iron lattice on the windows, it looks like a Western palace. The special exhibition is the lens of the lighthouse at Cape Tateishi on the first floor, made in France. It is also the first Western-style lighthouse by Japanese people. On the second floor, it is a guest room equipped with high-level furniture and other furnishings at that time. 3 On the floor, there is an elevator that was rare in the Hokuriku region at that time. Others are modern paintings and folklore ...
It is a museum using the former Owada Bank head office (Important Cultural Property) built about 90 years ago. The Bank of Owada itself was later absorbed by the former Sanwa Bank, which will operate as a Tsuruga branch, but it seems that it was destined to be transferred to the Bank of Fukui, which was later a "nemesis". I wanted to take a closer look at the hall, but I was worried about the waiting time of the shop, so I only took a picture of the appearance.
The building was an important cultural property. The former Owada Bank head office was a port town where Tsuruga City was prosperous. It was beautiful after renovation work, but above all, the bank was such a heavy building and the interior was arranged. Dali I was surprised that the elevator was luxurious, such as a stone counter. The elevator was also spectacular as a historical material. It was a good volume to learn the history of Tsuruga in a compact manner.
