We were looking for a few places to visit in Tsuruga. This would not be high on my recommendation list as there were not many displays and there were few English discriptions.

The building of the former Owada Bank head office is in the museum. The statue standing in front of the float hall next door is Mr. Owada, the president of this bank. The building is marble, and without the iron lattice on the windows, it looks like a Western palace. The special exhibition is the lens of the lighthouse at Cape Tateishi on the first floor, made in France. It is also the first Western-style lighthouse by Japanese people. It is a museum using the former Owada Bank head office (Important Cultural Property) built about 90 years ago. The Bank of Owada itself was later absorbed by the former Sanwa Bank, which will operate as a Tsuruga branch, but it seems that it was destined to be transferred to the Bank of Fukui, which was later a "nemesis". I wanted to take a closer look at the hall, but I was worried about the waiting time of the shop, so I only took a picture of the appearance.

The building was an important cultural property. The former Owada Bank head office was a port town where Tsuruga City was prosperous. It was beautiful after renovation work, but above all, the bank was such a heavy building and the interior was arranged. Dali I was surprised that the elevator was luxurious, such as a stone counter.
