I stopped by the Abbey cafe In de Vrede where I got a snack and some of the Westvleteren 12 beer. This beer is amazing and no wonder that it's regularly called the best beer in the world.

Very friendly and helpful

Went to the cafe/shop. Very friendly and helpful service who went out of their way to help us out with a car issue. Excellent beer, of course, and beautiful setting. Fields all around.

They make the best beer

We couldn't visit the abbey. We did figure out how to sign up to order 2 crates of beer ahead of our visit. At 1:30 we were able to pick up our bounty. It was a very fun experience.
