A beautiful place just a stones throw from Hebdon Bridge. There are numerous paths covering woodlands, rivers and the rocks of the crags themselves so you can always wander away from the crowds and find a quiet spot. There is a cafe at the mill in the middle of the area, and toilets too, although note that there was a big queue for the toilets when I was there as they were only allowing one household in at a time.

Hardcastle Crags Nearby is a small castle that can be seen from the top of the pick-up level. It is as magical as an adventure. It is worth walking. Hiking and cross-country is a sport that locals like very much, so you can see many sports enthusiasts along the way.
