Bao'enchan Temple

Baoen Temple is located at the southern foot of Qinglong Mountain and the north bank of Daoguan River Reservoir in Xinzhou Daoguan River Scenic Tourist Area, Wuhan City. It was built in 1918 and was originally located in Cangbu Town, Xinzhou County. The existing building is Shi Benhuan, the abbot of Daxia Mountain Biechuan Temple. The construction began in 1992 with funds from its disciples. The whole temple consists of Shanmen, Tianwang Hall, Daxiong Hall, Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Guanyin Hall, Jade Buddha Hall, Fatang, Zhaitang and so on. The entire monastery is surrounded by mountains and rivers, layer upon layer, solemn and majestic. In the Jade Buddha Hall, the reclining Buddha of Sakyamuni is carved from a whole piece of white marble. The statue is realistic and serene, lying on a high couch. The statue is 5.7 meters long, 1.5 meters high and weighs 9.7 tons. It is the first white marble in Chutian. Stone Reclining Buddha. In the Mahavira Hall, all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are majestic, sitting or standing, or participating in Zen meditation, or speaking, with different shapes and lifelike appearances, which can be called the first hall in Chutian.
