Handong Qingzhen Da Temple

Huangzhong County Handong Mosque was built in the 21st year of Emperor Guangxu's reign in the Qing Dynasty. It has a history of more than 100 years. It is one of the famous mosques in Huangzhong County. After three times of destruction, maintenance and expansion in 1915, 1945 and 1982, the temple finally became its current scale. The worship hall is 23 meters long and wide, with a construction area of 520 square meters. Opposite the main hall is a two-story building with a total of 20 rooms, including a lecture hall, a dormitory, and a water purification hall. On the left side of the hall, there are 10 brick-and-wood buildings on the first floor. The temple is unique in shape and beautiful in appearance. It not only has the architectural artistic characteristics of ancient temples, but also reflects the artistic style of modern architecture. Most of the religious people in this temple are Hui people, but there are also a few Salar people and Dongxiang people.
