The Balicheng site is near Bahuali because of the circumference of the city, commonly known as Bali City. It is located 300 meters northwest of East Balitun, Dongbali Village, Sizhan Town, Zhaodong City, Heilongjiang. It is3.5 kilometers from Sizhan Town in the northeast and 5 kilometers from the Songhua River dry current in the south. The city site is located on the left bank of the Songhua River on a bow platform. The geographical coordinates are 125°56′ east longitude and 45°45′ north latitude. It was built in Jintaizong Tianhui for eight years (1130), and is the largest ancient city site of Jindai in the north of Songhua River. Among the ancient castles found in Heilongjiang Province, it is the most complete and the most well-preserved one in the Jindai City Pool in China.
