In 2012, Lonely Planet described Darwin: There are fascinating night scenes, magical markets and restaurants, world-class outdoor deserts. In the same year, Darwin was ranked among the top 10 best cities in the world. The city of Darwin is very small. I drove from the airport to the hotel in the center of the city, only about twenty minutes. Here I tried two hotels, Hilton Hotels and Doubletree by Hilton. The DoubleTree by Hilton is a little bit but not far away, just ten minutes walk from the busiest Mitchell Street in the city centre. Hardware and food are average, but parking is convenient and free.
