Historical Architecture
望京小筑Dunedin is culturally rich with historic buildings, museums and bird sanctuaries. The city still has many typical Scottish-style buildings, which are described as the "most like Scotland outside Scotland". Featured Neighborhood
梦中的纸马Baldwin Street is located in Dunedin on the South Island of New Zealand. It is named after the Otago MP and the founder of the newspaper William Baldwin. This street is recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the steepest street in the world. The total length is 350 meters, and the steepest slope is about 1:2.86 (19° or 35%), that is, every 2.86 meters walked, the height increases by 1 meter. Yuanwang doesn't feel steep, and it's a bit hard to walk, especially when I see cars climbing uphill, as an old driver, I sweat for them. The lower part of this street is an asphalt road, and the upper part is a cement road, because the hot weather in summer will cause the asphalt to flow out, which is not conducive to people and vehicles. In fact, there are still some streets in New Zealand as steep as Baldwin Street.

Square
pxy0705The Octagonal Plaza in Dunedin is the central square here. As the name suggests, this square is an octagonal square. On each corner, there is a very famous local building. It can be said that this is the undisputed center of Dunedin. It is definitely a must-go place to visit here.

莺语花儿The famous Moraki boulder is scattered along the 40-kilometer-long coast south of Oamaru, a fruit that, according to Maori legend, rolled over a thousand years ago when the Araiteuru sank. Later scientists concluded that the boulders formed 65 million years ago.

Castle
tiramisu1130Lanark Castle, New Zealand, the only castle in New Zealand. Located in Dunedin, the Gothic Revival architecture stands breezely on the top of the hill. The ticket price you buy is equivalent to the amount of money you sponsored for their castle construction, restoration and daily maintenance! The interior has gorgeous carvings, fine stone carvings, wood carvings, whitewashing and glassware outstanding! From the garden you can see amazing views of the peninsula and the harbor.

Island/Peninsula
pxy0705The Otago Peninsula is the most beautiful place in Dunedin. There is a long road along the coastline. Driving on this road is really refreshing. There are both beautiful bays and very beautiful forests here. It is really a pleasant and romantic place.
