D39***09The island is a great place to catch some cool photos in the winter, but there are plenty of tourists now, and students can also see the winter events, if it's a quiet day, it's great to stay here for a day ..
_We***02We came here for hiking and for temple stay. Unfortunately the two days were raining heavily due to the passing typhoon, so it was a wet blanket to me. The park is very big and not possible to cover within a day. Every mountain is managed by a temple and you can opt for temple stay and join in their program. Will visit this place again.

2021 autumn experience in Nami island. chuncheon-si kangwondo province South korea.
A long ride over to Nami Island back then in December. Extremely cold but did not wait long enough to witness the snow.
Definitely a must go for all different seasons to witness the change in weather and because of its well aligned and clear trees plantation, it makes it a good spot for photo taking!
Not forgetting back then when I travelled there, it was freezing cold… and I had the chance to ate the hotteok (it was straight right delicious… the melted brown sugar in my mouth…)
Getting there :
Upon arriving at Gapyeong Station, there are several ways to get to the island. Either by taxi, tour bus, city bus or by walking.
Nami Island is a half-moon shaped isle located in located in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, South Korea.
If you heard or seen the famous Korean drama “Winter Sonata” you’ll already be familiar with it.
It’s a must to go if you gonna visit Seoul.
There's a place called Myeongdong where there is a food street...had some very delicious dakgalbi...from there we went to the #soyanngangskywalk where if you have a fear of heights you cannot walk on the glass bridge. After that we went canoeing and though the weather was a but rainy they gave us raincoats...

Did you know that Mt. Seoraksan is the 3rd highest mountain in South Korea?
Seoraksan National Park, located on the east-central Korean peninsula is famous for its panoramic views, clear mountain streams incredible rocky landscape with jagged peaks rising up out of pine forests and vibrant flora and fauna. It has multiple hiking courses, valleys, and cultural artifacts hidden in each valley and is internationally renowned as a habitat for rare plants and animals. The view on the top is breathtaking. It was a sight to behold and the mountain gives a wonderful scenery.
Love to see this again. Looking forward to visit this soon when the pandemic is over.
I will definitely return to Seoraksan National Park if I had the chance to visit South Korea again. This place was absolutely beautiful. There was something for everyone; sightseeing, hiking, eating and shopping. I spent the whole day hiking trails and enjoying the outdoors. Because I came with my family, so we did take the cable car ride to the top as well for some beautiful views of the surrounding area. I would recommend doing that first as the lines will only get longer as the time gets later in the afternoon. The views at Seoraksan left me speechless, so I will let the pictures do the talking! You can also opt for doing the real hiking to Mount Soerak as well, but you might have to stay for one night in the mountain because the hike itself is quite long ⛰🍃🌿⛅️ #nationalpark #urbanexplorer #southkorea
