We have drown from Czech. Hallstatt its a beautiful city to relax and spend weekend stretching bones by climbing hills. We had excelent time. Visited the Salt mines, smallest cemetery in Europe, Lutheran church. Its just so relaxing and beautiful to walk around the lake and snack Pretzels. It is a really beautiful place and totally understable that this has been included in UNESCO World Heritage. Impressing with the old town in this extremely beautiful location and everything is also beautifully renovated and generally kept in really good shape. Even for Covid-19 there were still a lot of tourists in September 2020, but I still think it was a really nice place to visit. #themepark#zoo#nationalpark#lakes#beaches

Hallstatt is more than just a pretty town. It’s actually considered the oldest still-inhabited village in Europe, dating back to the Iron Age. In fact, the early Iron Age culture from 800 to 400 BC is known as the Hallstatt culture, an era marked by farming and metal-working, long-range trade with Mediterranean cultures, and the rise of elite classes and social distinction. Hallstatt – which means “place of salt” – is home to the world’s first salt mine. Thanks to the salt industry, the town quickly progressed and became wealthy. Salt has always been a valuable commodity, more so in the pre-historic times when it was primarily used to preserve meat. In recent decades, though, Hallstatt’s fame derives mostly from its natural beauty. Sandwiched between a lake and mountains (you could even say that it cuddles the lake), this perfect little town easily became a favorite tourist destination as well as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Nowadays, you’ll find a lot of tour groups making a day trip to Hallstatt from Vienna, Salzburg, and even Prague and Cesky Krumlov. This influx of tourists further boosted Hallstatt’s economy, giving rise to tourist attractions and amenities. The town may be compact – you can walk from end to end in under half an hour – but there’s much to see within the town and in the surrounding area. #tripaway There's no doubt #Hallstatt is stunningly beautiful - from every angle.I'm just glad I managed to squeeze a trip in now, because I've never had the desire to go due to it being the epicentre of crowds. I'd love nothing more as a travel expert, than to re-wire the tourism of Hallstatt. While pristine and wonderful in nature, the town feels like a museum piece and caricature of Austrian culture, when Austria is so much more #tripaway

Hallstatt to me is the most beautiful part of our Eurotrip! It is a fairytale 🧚‍♀️ village accessible from Salzburg or even Vienna by trai or buses. The town is quite small, you can walk around in one day. You can also take rent a boat and have some romantic time with your loved one 💕 #happynewyear

The cemetery now has become a tourist attractions. Reflects the local people to respect and take good care of life.
