The spire of the monastery on the top of the mountain points straight to the sky, and the Gothic cloisters and Romanesque foundations tell the epic of faith for thousands of years. The narrow stone alleys are filled with the aroma of butter biscuits, and pilgrims and tourists wait with bated breath in front of the tide schedule. A pearl on the World Heritage List, a must-visit "Western Wonder" in France, where history and nature dance in the interweaving of light and shadow.”

Its bay of San Marlo is a tidal flat, and the tides constantly wash sediments ashore, making Fort Saint-Michel an island that only rises when the tide is high, which is mysterious.”
