At the Capuchin Church of Our Lady of Lourdes. It is located in the center of Rijeka, right next to the sea. The beautiful architecture of the facade attracts immediate attention. Giovanni Maria Curet made the first plans for the dual neo-Gothic Basilica of Our Lady of Lourdes. The lower church of Our Lady of Consolation soul, which will serve as the foundation of the upper larger church. We can easily reach the beautiful City Tower since it’s just at the heart of the city. Its history is of immense importance to the region. Rijeka's long past is inscribed on the face of the City Tower, a structure that has become a true emblem of the city's architecture and art. At the maritime museum in rijeka. I just love learning about the advances in the maritime field. from using sails to using engines for propulsion and using wood to steel for construction. The titanic exhibit in the governors palace in Rijeka. Here, you can see a model replica of the steam ship, titanic. you can also see a life jacket used in the ship itself. It is the only lifejacket from the Titanic located in Europe and is preserved in the Rijeka Maritime and Historical Museum of the Croatian Littoral. Around the shopping district of Rijeka. It was still too early so most of the shops are stil closed. They open at about 4 in the afternoon and closes till late at night. I love how organized shops are. And there are multitudes of great restaurants around. It’s also a plus that most cafes, restaurant, pubs and bars have free wifi. Outside the Governor’s palace in Rijeka, Croatia. The palace is now converted to a museum which you can visit for a few change. At first it was difficult locating the access to the entrance since I was just walking. Had to ask the locals for directions before finding out that you can pass by the huge gate at the front. Inside TunelRi in Rijeka Croatia. If you want to take a break from the heat of the city, this is the place to be. Also, if you’re interested in history rich places, this is a must visit. This well preseved tunnel was built during the WW2 by the Italian army for the civilins to hide during bomings. It was just recently opened to the public thats why Im lucky that it was open during our visit. #mynovgetaway#thanksgiving

At the city centre of Rijeka. Would usually walk aimlessly around the city. If i find something interesting, I’ll check it out. Then I would spend hours reading while eating along the coast side restaurants. #tripaway #tripaway

At the highest point of Trsat Fortress. I would say this is the best spot to see the entire city of Rijeka. There are also lots of shops and restaurants in the area around the fortress. In fact, there’s a cafe/resto in the fortress. worth the visit. #tripaway #tripaway
