yangduoduo17The hop-on hop-off bus to visit Waiheke Island is the best, very reliable and punctual! This small island is amazing, I recommend everyone to go to the Batch Winery first, where you can see the most beautiful scenery. You can have some snacks at every place you visit, which will make your day so special. This place is perfect for relaxing a day and enjoying with your partner.
pxy0705This is a very old IKEA winery on Waiheke Island with a history of more than 100 years. All the wine oak barrels here are placed in their own caverns. They are warm in winter and cool in summer. They are very suitable for wine storage. The wine here is also very good, and it is worth tasting it.
pxy0705Cable Bay Winery is the most beautiful winery on Waiheke Island, because it is located on the edge of the island, overlooking the coast here, the scenery is very beautiful, sit on the viewing lawn here, and taste Enjoying the sea view and the magnificent sunset view with fine wine and food is really a very, very romantic thing.
yangduoduo17We visited here with a friend from the Scandinavian area and we almost canceled the trip before we saw the Trip Advisor review but had already booked the vehicle ferry so forget it. It was a nice day and we arrived a little late but that didn't bother us, the staff told us not to be rushed, they provided us with some extra fire sticks for free and led us in under the guidance of two ladies. The tunnels were great and the volunteers did a great job of setting up the tunnels. Although the tunnels were more complicated than our previous ones in Oakland, we kept the fires on whenever we needed to find the stairs and corridors were very clean. We spent about an hour inside (sometimes lost) but were very happy to get to the ground and the views were amazing. Overall a must visit and we will do it again in 5 years to see the changes. Note: Bring plenty of water, because you have to walk for more than 20 minutes each time you get off the bus. You need to cool off on a hot day. If you feel that you are swimming, vote.
多多Long drives on bumpy dirt and walks to get there so make sure you leave early as the state is closed at 3pm! If you arrive too late you can only see a small part of the tunnel network. (They won't let you go) Bring your own flashlight if possible and save the cost of renting equipment. You also have to buy tickets. The tunnels are very extensive and there are many, many steps (up and down). It is more suitable for people interested in military history. We were all surprised. The sheep here were also very interesting, with collars and very docile.
Waiheke Island Driving: Suitable, Running: Good, Cycling: Suitable
City view of Auckland while on board ferry going to Waiheke Island. Waiheke Island is just a paradise. One day wouldn’t be enough to see and experience what the island has to offer. I suggest to stay for three days to get the best out of your time.
Madeblick Winery was founded in 1992 by a young couple Robyn and Nicholas Jones. They are constantly experimenting with the cultivation of various grapes to produce fine wines of superior quality. The winery restaurant is also very popular, with an elegant environment and a wonderful atmosphere. It is known as one of the most romantic places on the planet and many Aucklanders choose to hold a wedding here. For us, it is natural to book a romantic lunch to feel the atmosphere~
The location of the lunch is on the second floor of a small building with a strong Provencal style. Enjoy the view from the window while savouring delicious wines and dishes. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, you can see the city of Auckland across the sea. The sky tower is also faintly visible. The vast bay, no noisy, only the waves, is a great place to relax.
