La Baia

My Italian wife and I recently dined here for the first time with a little amount of trepidation. Well our concerns were soon put to rest with the tasty mussels followed by a fantastic seafood pasta dish. The highlight was the frisgioli dessert…an absolute must try dish. Many thanks to the chef and service from Alessandro…can’t wait to go back!

Booked for Mother's Day lunch and we were all impressed with both the service and the food quality. The Moreton Bay bug linguine and the calamari were particularly well prepared cooked. Would recommend and look forward to returning to dine again.

Service and meal sizes very good, prices about average for this type of restaurant.We found it a little noisy even though it was not overly busy.

Great food, terrific service, lovely surroundings, and perfect music, at just the right volume. The only down side was that for the first half hour we were the only customers, and then joined by just two more, and finally another couple. Hardly the restaurant's fault, but ambience is lacking when you're alone in a restaurant on a Friday night, celebrating your wedding anniversary!

Having dined there previously my cousin and I took friends, who had recently arrived from Canada, there for dinner. Having travelled several times to various parts of Italy we all enjoyed the traditional Italian dishes, especially the Polpette di Maiale and the Melanzane Ripiene. The pizzas were traditional thin base and the fillings were excellent. Alessandro the waiter was on his own and did a great job of looking after us. We will return many times I am sure.
