Service was good, clean venue, food very tasty.Beef pie excellent our friends had salmon and salad which they thought was very good.

So very happy we chose The Royal Essendon to dine tonight... food was amazing and generous in size, delicious desert and Midori Illusion Cocktail a pretty yummy presentation ! Staff were super helpful and accommodated our order on line with a happy smile! Can’t wait to go back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️????

Love my local but quite disappointed this time. I always order the same meal - rump but ask for mash in place of chips and salad. Royal will charge you the full price of chosen meal and also charge you for your ‘swap’ as a ‘side’. In telling them that I’ve always paid the set price and with mash rather than chips, I was told they never just swap. I guess it was more the fact that they argued it was not the case when I had been doing this all the time. Very disappointing. As a loyal customer I was not impressed. The matter should have been managed better. Loyalty gone. Trust gone. Was made to feel like I was trying to rip them off. Not going to continue booking as regularly as I do and will make sure I keep receipt to prove purchase.

The food menu was extremely basic. It wasn't busy at all, we ordered our meal through QR code, and after an hour I had to ask where the meal was. They had forgotten it. When it came out, it was the most basic, ordinary meal I've ever seen in terms of presentation. Pretty disappointed to be honest, and wont be back.
